What I love most about Pool Deck are the “life on the road” posts and the Skimmer tips and tricks. The real-life stories from fellow pool pros remind me that I’m not out here alone—we’re all in this together, and sometimes you just need someone else who gets what it’s like to pull a critter out of a skimmer basket.
The Skimmer insights have also been a game-changer for me. I’ve learned how to use tags more effectively and stay up to date with new features, which has made my daily workflow smoother and more efficient.
A future feature that could be helpful? A Skimmer app alert when there’s a new post or notification in Pool Deck—just to help stay even more in the loop.
All in all, the Pool Deck has been a fun, welcoming place to connect with others in the industry and never feel afraid to ask questions. Thanks to everyone who contributes—you’ve made this community something really special!

I agree, yes an app would be awesome. The shortcut is pretty intuitive though as well!
Skimmer hack: I love using Tags for upsell and brand opportunities. I'll tag all my customers for various things (neighborhoods, pool type, and many others). This enables me to quickly sort when doing a Broadcast email for a monthly promotion such as Filter replacement deals, or say a Google Review Campaign from customers who don't have the "Google Review Secured" tag .

It’s been a wild ride! We joined up when we hired our first full-time employee, and now we're looking for our third. It's nice to see everyone else come along for the ride. We have accomplished a lot and learned even more. We are glad to have chosen Skimmer to get us to where we are now.

The Pool Deck forum has been very helpful for contacting experts or getting ideas on how things are navigated. Improvements for me would include more content & engagement and better organization on where to comment and ask questions- I have found that when I post in certain places, questions go unanswered, but I get quick response in other areas. I would also love more insight into webinars and whether some that occurred in the past will be offered again- maybe a roadmap of all webinars inclusive of both Skimmer and QBO/other partner webinars?

I love reading the new feature updates. You guys are adding things so quickly these days that I find myself getting behind. Im not complaining tho. I love all of the new features. I have had a couple of things come up in the business that I needed advice on or recomendations and was able to reach out on pooldeck and recieved great sugestions.
Future features….several but probably the most reasent would be. Have an option to easily send a follow up to a completed work order that lets me request that they do a Google review . So That I wouldnt need to pay for CRM software to automatically send one.
# 2 I would love to be able to to assign and send audio tutorials to my technicians that outline new features or provide tips that they can listen to in their ear pods while they work.
#3 I wish I could somehow send my service agreements to my new customers thru skimmer and them be able to confirm and agree that they read and understand and for them to be able to add their credit card to save on file for auto billing. I could do these things in Square and it was all kept in one place under their customer profile.
Keep up the good work. Our business has grown so much since we added Skimmer!

This is our first season with Skimmer and the Pool Deck. We were largely on our own before joining Skimmer and The Pool Deck. Genuinely happy with the service of Skimmer but also the large knowledge base and community.
It feels good working towards the same goal as others even though we are not physically together.
