Why You Should Start With Search 🔍

One of the main goals of The Pool Deck is to help you find the information you’re looking for as quickly as possible. So, starting with a search is the best way to help you understand what’s already posted in the community that might have the answer you need. Our library of information is expanding daily, creating a growing archive of expertise to draw on! Before you ask a new question, enter your keywords in the universal search function. This powerful engine will quickly give you all the available resources on your topic to save you time. Plus, you can ask additional questions or share your expertise on these existing posts to add to the knowledge sharing on that topic.Review your results in the search dropdown to select the best content option for what you need. How to flag inappropriate posts and behavior

We want to ensure that The Pool Deck is a safe place to get your Skimmer, industry, and business-related questions answered and to connect and collaborate with other members.  If you see a post or response that uses hateful language or engages in inappropriate behavior, such as bullying or harassment, please report it immediately so the community team can review and take it down if warranted. Additionally, if you see a post or response that does not follow our community guidelines, please report it for review as soon as possible. How to report a postClick the three dots on the lower right corner of a post or response, and select Report to flag this content to the community team or email community@getskimmer.com.

Tap the app to access The Pool Deck on your mobile device! We know that connecting with the community and other members while you’re on the go is key. The good news is you can easily create an “app” for The Pool Deck on your mobile device to quickly tap and search for answers and share pictures or comments.Here are instructions on how to add the "app" on your home screen.iPhone Open Safari and navigate to thepooldeck.getskimmer.com. How to earn badges and increase your rank

How to earn badgesWe’re making The Pool Deck a better place to connect and collaborate with other members. We want to recognize and celebrate you for sharing your expertise by awarding points and badges for your valued replies, posts and likes. The more you participate in the community, the quicker you rack up badges and points and climb the leaderboard.Your badges will be displayed in your user profile, along with a dashboard totaling your posts, replies, followers, and best answers.  How to increase your user rankAs Skimmer customers contribute to The Pool Deck, they accumulate points that count towards their membership rank. As they earn more points, they progress through the ranks, with a new name and icon for each rank they achieve. The same actions that earn community badges (posts, replies, likes given/received, and best answers) are also used to assign membership ranks.

How to register or delete an account

Want to join The Pool Deck or invite other pool professionals to join our growing community? Here's how to get started:Click ”Login/Register” in the upper navigation bar and select “Create an account.” Complete the registration form, including a username and the work email address associated with your Skimmer account, to immediately unlock full community access and set your password. If you aren't a Skimmer customer, you can still create a general access account.💡 The Pool Deck Community Tip: Your username is how you log in and displays as your community profile name, so choose wisely. You can always message community@getskimmer.com to update it later 😉! After clicking “Register,” you can immediately start exploring the community. The Pool Deck has structured forums to make it easy to navigate and find what you're looking for. On the top navigation bar, click “Community” for a complete forum view. Some forums are available to all members, while others are exclusive to Skimmer customers.👉 Click on the forum that interests you to visit that page. Click “Subscribe” on the right side of the page to receive automatic email updates when new posts are added to this forum. How to create helpful answers and award the Best Answer

We’re creating a collaborative community where you can share your expertise with other members, answer their Skimmer and industry-related questions, and get all your questions answered in return.Here are a couple of pointers to ensure your answers are laid out clearly and are easy to read:Add line breaks, bullet points, and numbered steps. Conversations and sharing between members is what makes The Pool Deck a vibrant community!So get in there and share industry news and expertise, ask for help, learn from others' experiences, and start conversations that spark new ideas. How to set up your profile and manage notifications

Let the community know who you are by completing your profile information so you can build your network.👉 Click your avatar in the upper right corner to edit your profile, notifications, general settings, or password change.👉 Click “My account settings” to add your picture, then enter details to help other members learn more about who you are, where you are, and what’s important to you. You can also include a signature for your posts.  👉 Click between “General” and “Notifications” to control settings for which profile details other members can see and to manage your email subscription preferences.👉 Click “Password” to reset your password.👉 Make sure you save your changes!  💡The Pool Deck Community Tip - If you want to update your username or registered email address, please email community@getskimmer.com.
