Welcome 👋 We're so happy you're here 🎉

The goal is for all members to use the community to connect, share, learn from one another, and expand our professional network. To ensure our community stays informative and valuable and serves as a trusted space where we can all become better together, here are the guidelines:

  1. We are here to help - If you are new to The Pool Deck and need clarification, just ask! The community team and other members are happy to help and make you feel at home.
  2. Share your knowledge and experiences - Help make The Pool Deck community richer by sharing your expertise. You have a lot of knowledge and first-hand experience that other members could benefit from, so make their day by answering their questions. Remember, if you include or reference content created by someone else, please give them credit.
  3. Stay on-topic - People are here because these professional topics interest them. So jump in to enrich the discussion and keep it going, but please do not derail the conversations or discuss personal matters.
  4. Be yourself - Post as yourself. You are not permitted to register multiple accounts in the community. Any member found active under multiple identities risks having one or more accounts suspended and their membership banned.
  5. No harassment of any kind - We want everyone to have a positive experience, so do not detract from the collective good. We will not tolerate posts, comments, or private messages that are bullying, bigoted, sexist, racist, defamatory, indecent, threatening, invasive of privacy, or otherwise objectionable.
  6. Public content is public - Once you post, your content becomes public to all members. Do not post any information that you do not wish to make public.
  7. Keep it professional - While we welcome your opinions and encourage casual conversations, The Pool Deck is a professional environment.
  8. Be careful and protect everyone's privacy - Most members are happy to help in The Pool Deck but remember that their advice is theirs only. Skimmer does not endorse it, and you are responsible for deciding whether or not to follow it. If the advice given by a member sounds incorrect or risky, do not try it. If any member asks you for personal information, do not provide it or post information you receive in private messages without the other member's consent.
  9. Keep it spam-free - Without a partnership agreement with Skimmer, do not use the community to promote your services, products, websites, or organizations. Please do not post advertisements, spam, or other unauthorized or unsolicited posts.
  10. Keep it legal - Do not post anything that would violate any contractual agreements (copyright, trade secret, or otherwise) or nondisclosure agreements to which you are a party.
  11. Be respectful - Have healthy conversations around the industry and common challenges, but out of respect for the community's host, please refrain from discussing Skimmer's pricing or comparison with competitors. If you do have comments about forum content or policies, connect with us via email at community@getskimmer.com. We welcome these discussions in the proper channels.
  12. Breaking the guidelines - If you come across a post or a comment that goes against these guidelines, please click on the three dots on the bottom right of that post and click "Flag." A community moderator will review the situation and take appropriate action. We reserve the right to remove posts or delete accounts if they harm The Pool Deck community. You can also report inappropriate behavior or content via email: community@getskimmer.com.
