Skimmer just released a brand new feature that is very impactful and very efficient. From the desktop you’ll notice a new tab named “Schedule”. That tab is what this post is all about! If you click into it you’ll see your entire business for the month right before your eyes and there is so much you can do with it. There’s a lot of great features packed into this one tab, but let me point out some highlights that I love about it! Like I say in the video I loathe the word “Game changer” but it really is.

  • You get to choose where you want to focus. When you click into schedule you’ll see three main features on the top part of the page
    • Scheduled - What is currently scheduled
    • Unscheduled - What is unscheduled
    • Map - See where all your stops for the company are that week

In this section you can choose what you want to see. Just check or uncheck the box next to the option and you can see everything at a glance or really focus on what you want to see.

  • Everything is drag and drop.

You can drag and drop jobs, unscheduled work orders, pools to any tech on any day at any time. It’s so awesome. If you have an unscheduled work order and want to move it to the following week. Just move the calendar to the following week, and then drag the unscheduled work order to whatever day and whatever tech you want the job going to. Done! Quick and easy!

  • Everything is filterable

As mentioned above, not only can you choose what you want to see you can choose to filter by:

  • Techs
  • Maintenance and work orders
  • Routine maintenance only
  • Work orders only
    • Work order types
  • You can also choose to hide finished stops.

My favorite part of the “Schedule” feature is the unscheduled part which allows you three different sections:  Work Orders, Work Order Reminders and No Maintenance Customers. This is why it’s my favorite spot for a couple of reasons:

  • You get to drag and drop any unscheduled stops to where ever you want them to go quick and easy
  • You can quickly make changes to make sure all staff has a full days work with assigning work that is waiting to be done on the fly.
  • By choosing the no maintenance option you can see who in your database that doesn’t have routine service. You can filter it further by 30/60/90 days or lifetime. Why is this good?
    • If there is customer you want back because they are a good client, or for whatever reason, you can re-market to them to try to gain their business back. That alone is a super powerful feature!

There’s so much more here at your fingertips it’s just great. If you aren’t using it I’d definitely recommend taking a closer look because it’s a powerhouse that will take your business efficiency to the next level!
