When our pool company started, we noticed that most service companies in our area had plain work trucks with poor signage, if any. It was hard to tell who they were, what they did, or how to contact them.

We knew we needed a way to make a splash (pun intended) and stand out from the crowd. Still, when the only available pickup truck that met our budget and equipment needs was a plain white pickup truck, we contacted a highly recommended vehicle wrap company. They assured us they could turn our plain truck into a rolling billboard that would stand out and be memorable.

After providing them with our logo featuring our mascot, Greyson the Shark, they got to work on the design. We were pretty excited when we approved the final renderings but were amazed to see the fully wrapped truck in person. The transformation accurately represented the look and feel we wanted for our business. It communicated who we were, what we did, and how to reach us. The visibility of our business skyrocketed after we started driving it around, with people noticing and contacting us via phone and our website. This fin-tastic strategy even caught the eye of AQUA Magazine, awarding us "Best Mascot" in their 2024 Truck and Van Contest!

That’s outstanding! Looks freaking amazing. Very professional and catching. So how does that work, you just provide them with your logo and a description of what you’re kinda looking for? And they take care of the rest? Can I ask, how much does that all cost? I’m sure the initial wrap is more expensive because it includes the design and template etc but after that would be a little less expensive? Thinking about trying that out. Like you said, no one out our way has very nice looking trucks either and a good portion of them don’t even have labels or aren’t legible from 5 feet away.

Beautiful artwork and fun name / mascot choice! We recently changed from magnets to vinyl and it made a huge difference. Not only did we get noticed but we also noticed a positive change in our techs - they seemed more proud of our brand and they’ve kepts the work trucks cleaner. All around win win.

Congratulations @GreySharkPools on the award and making a splash  💦  It’s a perfect execution of bringing your brand DNA to life and leveraging your assets to build awareness via mobile advertising. I am guessing the wrap cost will pay for itself in no time!

Plus, I bet it feels cool to be behind the wheel 😎

We have provided all the necessary information along with the original vector logo, which means it can be enlarged without losing quality. Based on their previous work, we felt comfortable entrusting them to do what they do best. After they presented us with three side view options, we selected one, suggested a few changes, and then received a design showing the front, back, sides, and hood. After just a few other suggestions, we approved the final design. We had to drive nearly 3 hours to drop off the truck, then returned to pick it up after the wrap was completed about a week later.

Overall, the design and full wrap cost us just over $3,000. It's worth noting that our original truck is bright white, so they wrapped all the sides, hood, and roof. The final cost will vary depending on your location and the extent of customization you want. Ideally, if the truck were originally a base color of blue, we would only need to do a partial wrap. Totally worth it though.

Thank you for the response! I really appreciate your input. I know there are some companies out this way that do this. Infact, after posting my initial question to you, I remembered that one of my friends has a HVAC service business and nearby and he too wraps all of his vehicles. I’m going to reach out to him and find out where he goes. Hopefully soon I will be able to post up a picture of our finished product. Thansk again!
