Has anyone come across an automated device that skims the top of the pool for leaves, then also dives down and cleans the bottom?  There are several solar-powered devices that skim the top and do not depend on a hose or cord which is required in this situation.

But the only one I saw so far is from BettaBot and I think it is a new item, and, it looks to be about $2,000.

Since the customer has turnover at the house because of renters, have a vacuum that runs on the bottom but is connected to a hose is not an option.  Pool is roughly 10k gal.

BettaBot is about $400. There are battery powered cleaners such as the AIPER. This one will clean the bottom of the pool. For cleaning the top just get a betta.

I’m guessing that this is an Airbnb-type property. I’d be really wary of leaving any device since they will either pull it out in the first day and never put it back or they will break it.

I’d first determine what you are dealing with; in my area, it's mostly sand, so only the bottom vacuum would be needed. A surface skimmer would be good if you have mostly trees and everything starts out on the surface, before it drops.

We require twice-a-week visits for all our rental properties, which usually cover all our pools. For weekly residents and off-season pools, we are looking at some different options.

On a side note, Betta has a dealer program, so you can get them much cheaper than $400.

Have not seen anyone that makes a unit that does both. Highly suggest the Water-Tech leaf Vac Recharge for a cordless option to do both quickly. Leave on site and use as necessary, versus hauling in your power vac. Just my two cents.

Good point!
