I like to think of Skimmer as a digital filing cabinet designed to streamline your customer data management. The Tags feature is the key to creating various customer groups based on specific criteria, enabling you to quickly locate these groups and take action, streamlining your business operations.

I love tags! I use them to sort my types of services, salt cells & de filters so I can easily schedule cleanings, and my billing end of month & beginning of month.

- Is there a limit to how many tags you can create or should create? I never thought to tag how or when the customer was aquired.


Love to hear that you’re making great use of our Tags! There is no limit on how many tags you can create! 


-- side note to staying organized: I use emoji’s on the Location Code box under Service Location Info to give quick visual notification of which pools need keys 🔑 or gate codes ⚙️ 


 

 

Excellent tip, @code3pools_ops ! The field is called the “Customer Code” field. To get there, click on the customer’s profile, click edit next to their name, and you’ll see the Customer Code field. Customers will never see these, and you’re right -- they’re fantastic and providing the techs in the field with important information or reminders. We’ve seen some pretty clever uses for emojis here! See below to see the web view and what it looks like on mobile.

I am a big fan of TAGS - the problem I have is I always have to remember to update the tagging field. When I use them properly - they are a game changer and a huge time saver on the Admin side! Thank you, Skimmer for building out this feature! 


I like tags because it allows me to sell customers different products such as salt system conversions. Love them! 


@jcmedrano Could Skimmer add the concept of tags to the service locations and/or body of water? Our client has multiple Airbnb properties, and each area has different billing and pool characteristics. Some properties require invoices twice a month and others once a month. Additionally, some properties have sand filters, while others have cartridge filters. Extending tags to the service location would provide more flexibility for billing and sending broadcast emails.

WOW!!! I am way behind the 8-ball on utilizing Skimmer! (I knew this but these tips show me just how much I don’t know). Hopefully, soon I will be able to spend more time in the office working on these things.

And yet another request: please add tags to the TECH view on their app… We have a “Chemicals-Only” tag for some properties, but the tech can’t see them, so we also need to add them to the Customer Code field… Now, we need to ensure they are kept in sync.

So can we get “customer tags” and “location tags” with the same concept but different uses?
