Step-by-step instructions
- Skimmer allows you to import customer data from an Excel or CSV file. If your customer list is in another system like QuickBooks Desktop or a Google Sheet, use their export function to get the list in an Excel or CSV format.

- After getting the file, you'll need to format it to Skimmer's guidelines before uploading it on the Customers screen via the Import from File button. Failing to follow these formatting steps will result in Skimmer not being able to read the file properly.

- The initial sections provide tips and instructions to format your file for Skimmer. Carefully reading these notes will ensure proper formatting.

- Scroll to the Available Columns section which outlines required and optional columns and their format. Required columns must be included in your import file with correct formatting, such as separating first and last names into distinct columns.

- Skimmer provides a sample file for guidance. Once your spreadsheet resembles this, you're ready to import. Our support team is always ready to assist with any queries or issues.

- Click Choose File to Upload, select your file, and click Import Customers From File. Review your customers on the import screen. Deselect any you don't wish to import. Skimmer alerts for potential duplicates.

- Click the Import Customers button to add new customers. They will appear in the Customers list where you can add additional info and include them in your service schedule.
