We use Simple Business Insurance. It was the least expensive insurance that we could find. We do handyman work and pool cleaning/maintenance service. If I recall correctly, I believe it's $64 a month month and it gives us coverage up to $2 million of liability insurance.

Hello - how large is your operation? I ask because my insurance company charges a rate based on the estimated payroll for the year. For example, for every thousand dollars of payroll (note NOT revenue) it’s $34 annually. The owner does not count.

Im not pleased with the rates.

My insurance is through the SPPA. Pool Specific insurance. I will say, they don’t cover liners, but I am not doing above ground pools anyway

My operation is small, it's just me.

Hi WP - I went through a local broker here in Sarasota, Florida - he hooked me up with good insurance company called “Western World” out of NJ - specialize in small to medium size companies - pretty reasonable at $851.00 annually - I too am new to the pool industry, so relied totally on my broker for this..

Hope that helps,

Steve

I carry my insurance through The Hartford via USAA (since USAA does not offer a business insurance product). I’m unable to use many traditional—and less expensive—pool industry insurance providers because my services include solar heating panels. Companies such as SPPA do not provide coverage for any work performed on roofs.
