Skimmer continues to invest in new tools designed to help our customers grow their businesses and, in turn, deliver an exceptional experience for their customers. With this goal as our north star, we are thrilled to announce the release of our latest tool, the Customer Portal. This turn-key white label feature can be easily enabled in the platform and branded with each company’s logo to enhance its brand presence and professional offering.

The Customer Portal lets you share service history details to reduce time-consuming customer calls. When paired with Skimmer Billing, the Customer Portal opens up access to additional features like invoices, payment history, and, most importantly, payment methods. It is a perfect way to encourage your customers to enable Autopay to ensure they get paid on time and spend less time chasing outstanding invoices.

The best part is that this new feature is included in your Skimmer subscription—that’s right, there is no additional charge to launch it to your customers!

Launching your own portal will provide your customers with a convenient, transparent experience that will help build stronger, lasting relationships—and don’t we all want that?

How Launching A Customer Portal Can Help Your Business

  • Reduced Administrative Burden

The portal’s self-service functionality allows customers to view their service history, update payment methods, and access invoices without your intervention—saving you hours of administrative time each month.

  • Improved Cash Flow

Outstanding invoices can disrupt your business, but with features like AutoPay, timely payments become the norm. The portal reduces delays by making payments easy and convenient for your customers.

  • Enhanced Customer Experience

Customers gain 24/7 access to their service records, invoices, and payment information. This empowers them to self-serve, quickly accessing their account details and finding the information they need. This transparency fosters trust and reduces common inquiries about completed work or billing details.

This is great news and a huge step forward in customer relations!

I love that the customer may enter their own CC information. I'd like to request further that once I set up a customer account, I can generate a unique link to directly send them to an enter card screen for their account. Something sent via text to the number on their file would be amazing.

I'd also like to ask if this means they may delete credit card information with outstanding invoices or before one can be generated. Ex. I require a CC on file prior to service as I don't want to deal with open invoices, it seems with this the customer can enter their card information and immediately after I perform service they can delete the card and I'm stuck with an open debt. Maybe there can be a toggle to turn on and off customers having the ability to edit their car information.
