What do you lose out of your truck the most when in transit?

For me, it’s the dang Taylor test kits. I’ve launched mine like 100 times. I keep mine in the back of my riptide. I’ll be just driving along not paying attention to this camouflaged speed bumps… hit one and launch my kit all over the road. My buddy in this video was driving me to drop off one of my trucks to be wrapped and we got to launch his too ;) I’m curious to what you guys lose out of your trucks. Is it random stuff or something that seems to be consistent?

Stubborn Yellow Algae

Hey everyone, I am dealing with a pool that has what we think is Yellow Algae. The Chlorine level was 4.5 when we got there today and all of the rest of the chemicals were within range. We have been using yellow algaecide weekly and can’t seem to get it under control. The pump has been running 10 hrs/ day and we clean the filter regularly. This pool is on the beach so I am thinking that could be part of it.  Does anyone have any magic they can recommend? Thinking I might give PoolRx a try on this one…

 How I reconcile, or match, Skimmer Online payments to QuickBooks This is my step-by-step process on how to manage payouts when the processing fee is deducted.Here’s how I match payouts, handle processing fees, and reconcile payments in both Skimmer and QuickBooks. If you've been struggling with this process, I hope this helps you out.  Skimmer Billing Report - Payouts Received SummaryClick on Payouts Received Summary - Highlight and copy the payout line that you plan to match in QuickBooksQuickBooks+ New - in the upper left corner of QuickBooks Bank Deposit  - Select the bank account where the payout was deposited at the top and use the date that matches the payout date. Automating Your Business- What do you do?

I have been working a lot on automating different parts of my business to streamline it. We are pretty small now with 3 techs but as we grow I want to limit the amount of support/admin staff we need, so I’m working on it now. What have been the most impactful things you have done to automate your business??What is one thing you would automate if you could, but haven’t been able to figure out? For me the most impactful has been automating lead follow up. I have workflows scheduled in my CRM to send text messages and emails at certain intervals for the first week after first contact. It has made a big difference because it’s less sporadic and people get followed up with without me having to remember to follow up.  One thing I haven’t been able to figure out is how to automate the entering of receipts into quickbooks. I know there are tools that can enter the general data but I am looking for something that can look at each line item and decide if it’s chemicals, a part, gas, etc. I have

Racing to the bottom

I have been involved as an owner in many service companies over the years but I have never seen an industry race so fast to be the cheapest service. This race to the bottom is a deadly approach to doing business and will only invite pool customer service while damaging the reputation of the industry.  Instead we should all be thinking about how we can stand out, being honest with customers, educating them so that they can make the best decisions on there own behalf. I have a very good friend that said this industry is very different from most and I challenged him and his thought process on how false that statement was. While there are differing issues that arise, the fact remains the same, We are all in the service business! There are many things  that can set a company apart from the rest that do not involve money. Auto Invoicing Settings - Skimmer Help Center

Watch the video or scroll down for step-by-step instructions. Tiers: AllBefore you start:Auto Invoicing will auto generate invoices for pool service that has not yet been invoiced. Auto Invoicing uses default invoice settings. If invoices require a review, you will receive an email with links that will guide you through a review. Email addresses populated in the General Settings > Send Alerts To field will receive the auto invoicing summary email.  Step-by-step instructionsClick Settings > Invoicing > toggle Auto Invoicing ON.   Click calendar to select which day of the month to auto generate invoices.   Select to either send invoices to customers immediately upon generation, or to create drafts for review on the Invoices page.   Select to either invoice the previous calendar month for monthly service, or to invoice the current calendar month for monthly service.   Auto Invoicing will always invoice any per stop, routine service(s) that occurred in the previous calendar month.
